Kurita Juku Aiki

KURITA JUKU AIKI

Aikido
Our organization was founded by KURITA YUTAKA SHIHAN, representative of AIKIKAI INTERNACIONAL for Mexico. We are an organization that seeks self-sustainability and works to understand and apply the practice of AIKIDO as it was transmitted directly by the founder (KAIZO) of AIKIDO, UESHIBA MORIHEI O’SENSEI to KURITA SHIHAN.
KURITA JUKU AIKI is an Aikido Organization with recognition of AIKIKAI INTERNACIONAL and as such is subject to the international regulations of HOMBU DOJO.
Our effort aims for a more intense life, we work to develop our humanity. We understand the Human Being as an integrated and interconnected unit, first of all with itself but also with its partners and with its surroundings (KI AWASE / KI MOSUBI). Our work is first oriented to achieve total confidence in ourselves, managing to overcome all our limitations and fears (AGATSU), this balance allows us to act in a just and correct way at the right moment (MASA KATSU), with what we aspire to live in a state of harmony integrating time and space into our lives (KATSU HAYABI). Through a very rigorous discipline (SHUGYO) we seek a state of total calm (FUDOTAI / FUDOSHIN) and inner peace (MUNEN MUSOU).
We distinguish ourselves from other organizations more concerned with the techniques and mobilizations of Aikido (IPPAN GEIKO), or by their martial aspects (PERSONAL DEFENSE). Our daily effort in the practice room (DOJO) aims to help us live an intense life, and the work we do, although it may appear similar to what is done in other schools, is geared towards the development of a greater capacity human for each of the practitioners.
We understand the Human Being as an integral and interconnected unit, first of all with itself but also with the partners of practice and the environment (KI AWASE / KI MUSUBI) that we then seek to extend to our daily tasks, to our family, and to our community. Therefore, our work is mainly oriented to achieve total trust in ourselves in order to overcome all our limitations and fears (AGATSU), a condition that allows us to act in a fair and correct way at the right and correct time (MASAKATSU), with what we aspire to live in a state of harmony and harmony with the universe (KATSU HAYABI) seen as a cosmos (ORDER).
Such is the original philosophy of the founder of Aikido, which is cultivated in our academy through a rigorous discipline of transformation of the individual (SHUGYO) through which we seek a state of total calm (FUDOSHIN) and inner peace, free of thoughts, desires and distracting intentions (MUNEN / MUSOU / MUSHI).

YUTAKA KURITA SHIHAN

Aikido
Yutaka Kurita Shihan was born on April 20, 1940, in Tokyo, Japan. He was one of the last Uchideshi (students living with the teacher) of the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba.
He entered the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in 1959, and a year in 1960 he was accepted as Uchideshi.
He received his 4th Dan directly from the founder O-Sensei. It was his assistant, scribe, uke and assistant teacher. After the death of his teacher, he left Aikido for 9 years, from 1969 to 1978.
After this time his fellow Uchideshi Mitsunari Kanai and Kazuo Chiba convinced him to return to Aikido. On October 10, 1979, the Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba representing the Aikikai gave him a Shihan license and sent him to Mexico City to be the official representative in Mexico of the Aikikai.
He founded the Mexican Association of Aikido in 1980. In 1999 he took a step forward, and founded Kurita Juku Aiki, in an amplified effort to rescue the original teachings of Morihei Ueshiba.
He currently teaches in Mexico City and is the Director of Kurita Juku Aiki.
